thing lighter. That's why I decided to do Paramount's Cecilia,
which is a comedy written by Daniel Burman. My character
is a failed actor and laughing a little and trying to make us
smile is not bad at all.

Can you afford to choose projects or is that a utopia?
As long as there´s the possibility, and good luck of falling in
love with a project that goes ahead, I will take it. This is a
very tough job, and during these two years of pandemic, we
have realized more than ever. I´m at a point in my life where
I want to work in projects that interest me, not just as an
actor, but as a man. I have to be motivated by the script and
the story. I hope I keep having the chance to choose. I´m
          very grateful.

What kind of characters are you currently looking for?
It's not that I'm looking for a particular one. I really want-
ed to do a historic character and I got it with Hernán. One
falls in love with the stories and how they are written, not
just the character, that can end up being a very egotistical
mistake. Right now there are good characters on platforms
and television. It is a good time for all of us who work in the
          film industry.

Do you live in Mexico or Colombia?
My home is in Mexico, where I have lived for many years, but
also in Colombia. My wife is Colombian, and we spend a lot
of time there. For example, in 2021 I shot Pálpito, a Netflix
series that premieres on April 6, and then I shot my special
participation in Pasión de gavilanes. I like to live like this. I also
recently spent some time in Madrid shooting Parot. I love it
and I have great friends there.

If you hadn't been an actor...
I would have worked with my father and my brother. They
have a textile factory where they make knitted sweaters,
and that's what I loved. I surely would have worked with
them and would have been very happy too.

Tell us an anecdote lived on a film set and what projects
you have for the coming months
I´ve got a good one. I met again with Alfonso "the cat" after
not sharing a set in 15 years and we shot a very emotional
first scene that will be in Pasión de gavilanes. I think years go
by and one becomes more emotional. The scene is very dra-
matic, and we became very emotional. Being in this project
          together again really touched us.
On April 6, will be the premier of Pálpito on Netflix and I am
going to present the program “El desafío sobre fuego” again,
which is broadcasted in Spain, on the History channel. I´m
also going to shoot a second season of the series Cecilia that
can be seen in Spain, on Paramount.
